Life Bites

Today is a new day | The old has gone the new has come.

Positioning your feet to launch into a new day at times takes courage, boldness and a brave heart; irrespective of how others view your decisions and choices. Whilst it is important to seek wise council and have others speak into your life, ultimately you are the one that is accountable to God and the conviction of your heart. You are the one stepping it out and doing it afraid.

If I am talking to the right people, then read on………

When a wide door of opportunity opens to us, with it comes many opponents. This is in fact the time to stand fast and stay true to your convictions.

If you are familiar with the story of Nehemiah returning to his homeland to rebuild the walls, you will know he had great opposition, but he stayed the course and rebuilt the walls in 52 days, which should have been completed fifty to sixty years earlier.

Nehemiah brought vision, prayer, an emperor’s resources and bold leadership to achieve a work. You can read his story: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Nehemiah

Nehemiah faced the following in Rebuilding Jerusalem

  1. Ridicule (2:9, 4:1-3)
  2. Wrath (4:1, 6-9)
  3. Discouragement (4:10)
  4. Fear (4:11-23)
  5. Internal Strife (5:1-5)
  6. Laziness (4:10)
  7. Compromise (6:1-8)
  8. Lying prophets (6:10-14)

Hopefully during your journey forward you won’t encounter all the above, but recognize the negative mind chatter that tries to discourage you, and the adverse influences that would try to immobilize you from achieving your goals
