Our mentors may share information about their own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, along with role modelling. They may also be available to help explore vocations, facilitate learning, goal setting, developing contacts, and identifying resources. Our Mentors are available to motivate, coach, and inspire you.

Glenise Dedrick

Glenise offers a wide range of expertise and experience in this much needed area of mentoring and coaching. She has many strings to her bow and mentoring is one she is passionate about. She provides the guidance and knowledge that is vital in leading others, along with the care and support when people are going through their most challenging times.

Passion is what drives Glenise along with enthusiasm and zeal to empower others toward health and wellbeing. She also instructs and facilitates many workshops to raise awareness for carers and support workers who provide care in their church and broader community.

Cheryl Nigel | Mentor | Pastoral Care

Cheryl has 5 years’ experience in Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy in the community and aged care sectors.

She is a highly skilled accredited trainer at Alphacrucis College, training students in Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy. As a trained facilitator, she also leads parenting, marriage and pre-marriage courses and is a facilitator of small groups.

She is currently on the leadership team for Chaplaincy Australia VIC. Assisting the State director, offering her expertise, mentoring and support where needed.
With ministry studies and 5 years ministry experience, Cheryl’s passion is to see people flourish and grow
and to reach their full potential.

Gwen Finnigan: Founder Mentoring is Everything

Gwen is a friendly compassionate person who has worked across various sectors including school Chaplaincy, Aged Care (VMCH) and Healthcare/Hospital pastoral care roles with Hammond Care and Dandenong Public Hospital. Gwen is currently working with Converge International, supporting Government and Private sectors with Pastoral Care and Counselling. She provided assistance on the Government NACER (National Aged Care Emergency Response) project during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in Victoria in support of interstate health care workers from QLD assisting with the Aged care crisis in Victoria.

Gwen is an accredited Chaplain with Chaplaincy Australia and is currently on the Victorian team as a regional leader. During the COVID-19 Pandemic (July 2020) she launched her business name “Mentoring is Everything” and is currently supporting clients (mainly young adults) with physical and mental challenges.
Given her vast experience Gwen found herself volunteering for a time in the slums of Mumbai working with children in poverty and their carers with an organization called Mumbai Rescue.
This has held her in good stead along with the many volunteer roles she has participated in.

Gwen is happily married with three adult children and one grandchild. She values family time and enjoys music, movies etc. and has travelled to over 30 countries around the world.
She is passionate to see people’s lives transformed and achieve their God given gifts and purpose in life.
