The Rejected Heart

Someone said, ‘To be rejected is to be cast aside, cast off and cast away— to be thrown away as having no value’.
The cry of the human heart is to be Loved, Accepted and Valued and yet many of us live in a world where we experience none of the above.
The ache of rejection can be so debilitating that we might respond by isolating ourselves and/or resort to addictive behaviours so as to ‘Dull the Pain’.
We often build protective walls and refuse to open up for fear of being hurt again. However, I’ve heard it said, ‘these walls might keep people out but it keeps you locked in and locked up’.
When we find it hard to let go; resentment can build along with anger and bitterness, giving voice to the lies of justification.
Can I encourage you to seek out wise counsel – It takes courage, boldness, perseverance and stick ability to push through the pain barrier.
Don’t allow FEAR to immobilize you. Step out in FAITH and do it AFRAID; your life matters.
